Nice to hear that you got offer. Is it conditional / unconditional?
So far I have not applied yet. Are you applying through consultant or by self?
Which are the other schools, have you applied?
Pls reply.
Thanks,
Ashish

Hi Sree, I have paid the deposite just few days back. If ur paying through credit card it will be soon but i have paid through bank transfer so first contact the bank and know all the documents required. I have asked all my doubts to nottingham previous batch and i have got positive response but for job i have got tensed answer but they said it depends on our caliber so one must be confident. I had offer from nottingham and bradford but apart from name in ranking list i have got negative response for bradford. So I choose nottingham. For accomodation I am going for university acco. inside the campus as everything is taken care. and interaction with other students is also frequent. U can search through website to see the options available or can mail ur requirements to accomodation office. within 2 days u will get reply.

Does NUBS ask for a telephonic interview?
Posted Mar 17, 2011 18:34
its not about 20k gbp. bradford fees is 23500gbp but not worth no international exposure, electives, life. durham charge u 19000gbp, lanchester 22000gbp, machester 33500 gbp. so its on ur budget and past record. if u think u can then apply for better college. exter is not good than nottingham. Edinburgh is good 23000gbp . but the status of college is near about same.it is not like edinb comes at 1st tier college and nottingham second. There are various ranking u can confirm.

Hey Amit, thanks for the info.
Regarding some of the earlier posts, I think people are looking too much into the rankings; their methodology of separating the universites (apart from the tier 1) is questionable.
I spoke to quite a few of my friends who have already finished their MBA from unis like Bradford, Nottingham, Edinburgh and Lancaster.
I can safely draw a conclusion that there isnt much to choose between the top 25 universities in UK (barring some in the top 5 like Oxbridge, Warwick etc). It really depends on which MBA program can help you achieve your career aims, your budget, location preferences, etc.
Regarding student diversity, no matter which uni you attend, there will be more than 50% Indians in your class. So I dont believe the figures put out by universities about having diverse student bodies.
Also, post study employment depends on your ability and what you gained from the program which you need to demonstrate to the employers, and not solely on the reputation of the university. If one is going for the MBA in order to get a lucrative job, then I am afraid he/she is going for the wrong reason. It should be primarily about quality education and exposure.

Hi Amit,
I found multiple options for Accommodation. If you have done some research or recieved information from reliable source please advise. I found Cottonmills, Trinity and Freya provided in the offer. What would be the best option in these. Do they provide food as well?
Regards
Sree

Asif this is the same what I think. Nottingham is in top 25 university. It fulfills my conditions and my expectations from MBA.
Regarding job it totally depends on our caliber and network we develop there. It may take time and will test our ability. But once the opportunity is grabed there is no looking back.
i totally agree with you. one has to struggle to get the best

Dear Friends,
I heard that UK government is going to stop the PSW from this year. I also heard that they will reduce from 2 years to 1 year... What you guys think? without PSW how far is better go there to do MBA. Without the work exp in UK after MBA if we come to India there won't be any much difference in the position.

Dude, its not that they are going to, they have already scrapped the PSW route from April 2012 which means precisely, our batch will get hit first. I have talked to one of the SBS current students and he seems to be pessimistic about this 'switch to Tier2' within the expiry date of your student visa. He said ofcourse there will be companies willing to sponsor but that comes at a price and the price I presume is compromising your salary and other benefits for getting a Tier 2 sponsorship. Is it worth taking so much risk? you need to ask yourself.
