MBA Germany 2016

Rachel_Q

Anybody planning on applying for the MBAs at Pforzheim or HWR Berlin for 2016?
hey, HS Pforzheim is on my list. I am from China and preparing GMAT test now.
Is there anyone can provide a recent yearly average GMAT score of students who got enrolled by Mannheim, Frankfurt, Leipzig HHL and HS Pforzheim?
thanks a lot!

HHL tends to be around 630, while at Mannheim it's 660-660. Not sure about Frankfurt or Pforzheim - you should ask the schools.

Hello everyone,
I was hoping someone might be able to provide me some feedback. I am looking at doing an MBA in Germany. My main targets are ESMT and HHL Leipzig. The reason why I have focused in on these is that I want to focus in sustainability or start ups and both of these schools seem to do well in those arenas. I also prefer the lifestyle of both cities over cities in western Germany. I have almost 10 years experience in sales (in the US and Russia) and I specialize in green and sustainable business sales/consulting. I also have owned and operated two small e-com startups. I recently took the GMAT and received a 670. I speak German at an A2 level and know that improving that will be paramount (I learned Russian in a year of self study/immersion while working in Moscow so I am not afraid of putting in the time).
My main question is, would it be better for me to attend either one of these universities and continue working on my German or go to Germany, study German for 6mos-1yr and then try to do my MBA in a German language program? I don't want to return to the states after completing my degree, so I am really trying to make sure I go about this the right way.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Benjamin

In general, yes, if you can study in a German-language program, then this would probably be the better option. The exception may be the ESMT program - that would be a good springboard into the Berlin startup scene (although studying for 6 months or one year beforehand would be an asset, either way).
