Top 10 MBA Programs for Project Management 2022

The project economy is booming, with businesses everywhere using more projects to solve complex global problems and innovate than ever before.

Business schools have responded by launching specialized MBA degrees in Project Management. They cover the entire project life cycle, financial planning and risk analysis.

Many enable remote study, meaning students do not have to quit their job and forgo a salary to get the degree. This enables the cohorts to be highly diverse to reflect the globalization of project management, and provide cross-cultural management skills that are crucial to success in the field.

The courses tend to come with industry certifications and designations, such as PMP certification from the Project Management Institute. This paves the way to further industry qualifications and a global network of project managers, both of which may prove valuable in the job market.

Most of the schools bolt-on specializations in project management, rather than offer full MBA programs in the subject. Others offer certifications that can bolster a student’s resume. All focus on putting theory into practice through consultancy projects, for instance, and are often centered on innovation.
