I find the same thing. MBA and Msc have almost the same modules. It is just a money making business for the universities.

The MSc from Imperial will be better than the Cardiff MBA. Only accredited MBAs, which require work experience, will be taken seriously. The accredited MSc graduates earn more than MBAs from unaccredited MBAs.

I think it's hard to compare them. Accredited MBA and MSc programmes have very similar, comprehensive, core curriculums. At many schools with accredited MSc and MBA programmes the MSc curriculum is very similar to the MBA core curriculum. However, the MBA curriculum will be larger and will be more likely to involve internships, group projects and international exchanges.
On the other hand, unaccredited programmes tend to be less comprehensive and are weaker. That's why graduates from unaccredited programmes earn less.

Well, you don't need to choose between them but, if you do, I'd suggest you focus on working, improving your GMAT and getting some good socially responsible volunteering done for a few years and then get into a top MBA.

Well, I think salaries will be higher for most graduates of that MSc in finance and investment than for any of the freshers' MBAs, especially since there is little demand for freshers MBA grads in the UK.
As for family business, whose family?

Thanks for your advice..........
By Family business i meant my own family business.

Well, that depends on the size of your family business. If there's space in your business for a financial leader then you'll make a big contribution there. AN MBA would be better for a general management role. If you're an Indian, and your family business is Indian, then Cardiff could be a good setting since most of the students there are Indian.
