Top college in UK or normal college in US

Hi

I am an Indian Engineer Female. I have roughly 2 years of work experience. Which would be a better option - opting a MIM in UK from a prestigious college or MBA from a lower ranked college in US?
I want to work in the particular country after my graduation!

Please advice :)

That depends on the colleges and your career goals. Ask the colleges what the placement is like for Indian students.

I did speak to some UK colleges like Cass, Durham, Lancaster and Edinburgh. They gave me the placement reports from the previous years. None of these colleges have region specific employment reports! The AdCom mentioned that they did not collect such specific details.

USA colleges on the other hand were able to give me some basic details regarding minimum and average salary, etc.

Is this because in UK there would not have been any placements(Indian students) or because they genuinely don't keep track of such granular info?

Well, since almost all the students on those UK programmes will be international students from outside the EU, I think the averages are useful. I think it would be good to ask for the outcomes for non-EU students regardless of region.

They don't even seem to have details specific to non EU/UK.

This is a reply I got from Cass
" We are proud of our dedicated provision encompassing careers skills development (interview practice, CV review, cover letter review, presentation skills etc.) and employer events (workshops, Careers Fair, employer visits etc.) which Management students use extensively. Students go on to work in a broad range of functions, sectors and geographical locations, unfortunately we do not currently publish employment data. On average 75-80% students are employed within six months of finishing (154 class). In line with other UK Schools, it is worth noting that we do not have a ?placement? approach but rather encourage collaboration with career services and an emphasis on students driving their careers in a highly competitive environment. "

Is it safe to assume that atleast some of the Indians would have managed to find jobs upon graduation ?

I would ask them to put you in touch with an Indian student in the current class and in the previous class.
