Category Management / Procurement / Trader for FMCG/Food & Beverage

PurpleSky

Hello,

I am 36 years old, and have a BSc & MSc in Engineering and MBA from a top BS in Germany. I have 8 years of international experience in Procurement.

I am currently not happy with the position & industry I am at the moment. I would like to switch to FMCG, Food & Beverage. Would you suggest any specific Executive Education or potentially a USA MBA to land in this industry? Any 1-year STEM that could allow me to stay 2 years at least in US?

Alternatively, during the MBA I got very passionate about Finance (Hedge Fund, Investment Banking, Trading). I see it difficult to start a career there. Would it resonate to target a top MSc in Finance and try to re-start a career there?

Thank you for your time and answers.

Think about these two paths, and develop a hypothesis for each in terms of the most likely role, firm and location where you would fit in both. Then compare those two: in which of these would you look the most valuable as you are now?

Then focus on that hypothesis. This will make it a lot easier for you.
