Are there any recommendations out there for a good real estate MBA that has a solid coverage of finance?

I didn't even realize that NYU had a Real Estate specialization. That would actually be a good choice - given its strengths in finance.
Since you've posted in the USA forum I assume you're only looking at US schools. Other than NYU, UCLA stands out as a good choice. Cornell has the Baker program in Real Estate - that might be worth looking into as well, although it's not an MBA.

Also, maybe check out Wharton, which offers a Real Estate specialization as part of its MBA program.

I've not heard of Notre Dame being a good school for real estate.
