MIT

Although MIT is not always rated among the top-10, I guess they still have a great brand name and reputation. What do you think about MIT's MBA program in comparisson to other top-tier schools such as Columbia, Kellog or European b-schools like IMD or LBS?

I'm not a Finance person or consultant. My goal is to work in the IT sector as a marketing or BuzzDev manager.

Thanks,
P.

You cannot go wrong with MIT. It has an excellent reputation around the world, particularly in the IT, innovation, and pharma sectors. A friend of mine got an MBA there. She worked her butt off for two years, but came out with good experiences and a good job. Quality-wise, it's gotta be comparable to the other brand names.

Good luck!

MIT offers a unique program in System Design and Management which is an interdisciplinary program between the Sloan School of Management and MIT Engineering. This is a really good program for leaders in a technical field like IT.

Good point. I think business schools are getting better at building on the strengths of the other parts of the university. Stanford and Berkeley do this well. NYU does this pretty well. I think MIT does this well, too.
