My name is Harshita Ojha and I am a student from INDIA. I scored 400 in GMAT, 19 in verbal and 27 in quat and 7.5 in IELTS. I know my Gmat score is really low but I tried my level best, I scored 500-520 in my practice tests but in actual GMAT scored a low of 400. Now I want admission in any public university near Chicago, Illionis but I am not able to find any. My preferred major is MBA in information technology.

I have completed 3years of graduation in commerce and 2 years of post graduation in Masters of Financial Analysis and Control (MFC). . I have worked as an information analyst for one year and as a grant/ report writer for 2yrs in a NGO.

True, but if 500 is its average then there will be students with scores below 500. Obviously it will be possible for you to improve on your GMA score by working on whichever 'half' of the set score is your weakest. But remember that the challenge isn't only to get into an MBA, but to graduate from it.

Maybe try to boost your score a bit?

If you were able to get your GMAT into the 560-600 range you might be competitive at schools like Illinois-Liautaud or Loyola University Chicago.
