I'd appreciate any insights on this. I've been working in IT in the US for almost 6 years now but I'm looking to change my function into a role in Supply Chain or Logistics. Would this be something feasible or would a background like mine really hold me back?
IT into Supply Chain, feasible via an MBA?

That is exactly what MBAs are designed to do. Also look at a MS in Supply Chain, for example at MIT SCALE.

Thanks Duncan. How would an MS compare with an MBA given a career change goal? Does it mostly depend on the actual companies and positions I'd be interested in? Or on how much the programs themselves align with my interests? I guess all of these need to be taken into account, but how does one compare different degrees?

A specialised MS wouyld work better if you want to move into a specific business function. AN MBA works better if you want a MBA-type role with more of a general management toolkit.
