Online MBA Recommendations

I'm currently living in the UK, working in technical sales within the oil and gas industry and am considering pursuing an MBA to further my career. My main goals are to gain more financial awareness, improve my management, communication, and presentation skills, and become more involved in the commercial aspects of my work.

Given the demanding nature of my job, I need an MBA program that offers online or distance learning with a flexible schedule. I'm looking for a program that not only covers the essentials of business but also has a strong focus on practical skills that I can immediately apply in my role.

If anyone has experience with an MBA program that fits this description, I'd love to hear your recommendations and any insights you can offer.

Thanks in advance!

Look at the FT Online MBA ranking. Given your goals, I wonder if you need an MBA or something more focussed on skills rather than academic theory. Consalia sales school and the other senior apprenticeship providers, like Cranfield, offer excellent price performance.

Thanks Duncan for your reply. So I've noticed in a couple of old posts, you've always preferred Bradford over Birmingham. Do you still think the same? And is it just something about the network or also for the courses' materials and career advancement?

Bradford has a huge Middle East advantage with a long-rooted EMBA in the UAE. However, over the last 20 years those schools have almost traded places. Bradford closed its full-time MBA and merged with the law school. Birmingham is growing.

So you would suggest I go with Bradford if I have a future plan to move to the Middle East?

Also, Durham seems out of budget but what do you think if I could manage?

That really depends on specific career goals. Right now, nothing you have said makes me think that either of these are the ideal options. Maybe a full-time of executive programme is better for you? Perhaps, if you are working in the UK, you should take advantage of the senior apprenticeship funding to get a better MBA for a lower investment?
