Its been 14 years since i last made an application to the US.
how are the trends in scholarhsip awards in the top universities in terms of availability nowadays for MBA programs?
i heard for example rice and tuck is pretty good, tepper also awards atleast 30-40% of the intake.
i am making it second priority as the US consulate in india is unlikely to view my four year stay there positively.Ideally they would have liked me to come back, last time i went on a study visa ,not because there was a downturn in 2000-2003.
my only chance against the odds is a weighty scholarship at a well known program.or they are virtually certain to deny my visa.

Sorry, I understand why you'll need to prove you can afford an MBA in the US, but why would the consulate not like that you've already lived in the US already?
I have always wondered why it seems to be harder to get an MBA scholarship than in other disciplines. Is that really true or do I need to get out more?

At the time of interview, students promise that they will come back after their studies and the officers at consulate in india admits/rejects applicants at their whim.
you have to see the entire charade to believe it.
In practice many students go on to get PT and H1 after completing studies and ultimately green card.
while this is not an issue for foreigners already within the US, its an issue for guys entering the US.
since i am potentially re entering the country again, they will ask to demonstrate i intend to return after studies. my record says i stayed on after my studies last time. so will the officer believe me the second time?
it does seem MBA scholarships are more difficult than others.but i have heard(without first hand verification) that some students got it.
