Post-MBA job prospects in the UK

IndiatoUK

Hello all,

I've been reading a lot about the job prospects after graduating with an MBA in the UK. Most of this info seems old, though - does anybody have any more current information about this?

Especially, I'm looking at how likely it is to get a job after getting an MBA from some of the mid-ranged business schools: Cambridge, Imperial, Cass, etc.

My background is in sales but I would like to work in finance. So I would think that the schools closer to London would be ideal, no? I think London Business School might be out of my GMAT range (I haven't taken it yet.)

I think you can't be looking hard enough. Most of the schools have their 2012 placement reports online; generally the 2013 class hasn't graduated so you'll need to wait for their data. The FT 2013 ranking has useful data: http://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolrankings/global-mba-ranking-2013 Cambridge 97% employed; Cass 90%; Imperial 84%.

Bath, London, Strathclyde and Warwick are all 92+% - putting them in the top 1/3rd of the FT top 100.
