Placements & present trend

maverick

I'm planning to pursue MBA from UK. I wanted to know what are the placement prospects after doing MBA in UK and which are the best schools for it.
I'm a metallurgist and working as a quality engineer in a steel plant. I'm thinking of going for operations. Can anyone tell me which school is best for operations.
And other doubt is that when do I have to choose operations, at the beginning or at later stages of program.

thanks and regards

Agreed LBS, Oxford & Cambridge have good international brand names, but other very strong b-schools in the UK include Cranfield, Cass and Aston - all renowned for different types of courses and all with strong alumni and careers teams.

@ Maverick...I believe..Cranfield School of Management in UK is famous for Supply Chain Management / Operations. It is considered to be a strong school for this particular domain. also look for Lancaster MBA & Warwick MBA ...both are very good schools..lancaster again has a very strong OR&MS dept...both are real value for money...

The best way to get the right sense of placements and present trends for a Business school is by connecting with the students in the school or talking to recent graduates.

For example Cranfield, Aston, Imperial, Exeter and Lancaster are all good schools in the UK each having its own area of specialization and good placements in those areas.
