London School Of Business and Finance MBA

This is really confusing!! is LSBF MBA a good programme or not?
Does anyone has an official reply to this? we do not just want personal judgments, i think what we need is a real answer to this question

thanking you in advance

I have my own example. In May 2010 i was offered a seat in LSBF because GGSB in Grenoble was already full.I enquired a lot abt LSBF from current people who r studyin and also who have left.
They didnt gave a good response.Few of the main reasons were:
1)Administration of college is not good.
2)Fees is on higher side.
3)Not all staff of GGSB grenoble teaches in LSBF.
4)No support for Campus recruitement..

I have also created a group in Facebook for GGSB MBA 2011 intakes..we discuss this more there as well.

Here is the link:

I recommend to learn the correct names of those schools before you apply. Oxford Brookes is a former polytechnic. I would still prefer it to LSBF as it has the AMBA accreditation. Grenoble Graduate School of Business (GGSB) is a good business school (much better than the other two mentioned), but you should study in Grenoble to benefit from the quality of its program.

I would be wary of any school in the UK that does not award it's own degrees. The recent UKBA changes have hit this sector very hard and it is possible they will not be able to enrollinternational students by 2012.

LSBF in UK is a [...] college. Its degrees have no value in UK, what to talk about internationally. The LSBF has [...] credentials and sensible students with some intelligence should stay away from it. If one has to take up GGSB MBA, then do it in France campus. No point doing it in LSBF.
New logo for LSBF : "Fools are welcome" !!

Hi sassan,

the ones I found with a quick search are
MBA Oil & Gas Management from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen (http://www.rgu.ac.uk/business-management-and-accounting/study-options/postgraduate/mba-oil-and-gas-management) and from the University of Liverpool the MSc International Management (Oil & Gas) (http://www.uol.ohecampus.com/index.php?mod=dcp&act=navigationindex&navigationid=2936). If you need more information about the latter please let me know, I am studying a MSc with the UoL at the moment.

Also do u aware if UoL have distance Learning model or not?

Also do u aware if UoL have distance Learning model or not?

Hi sassan,

I can not say anything about the IBC as I never heard of them before. But you have to be aware that the Middlesex University is just validating the degree, the content will be delivered by the IBC. It is the same model which was used by the University of Wales as a degree validating institution. This lead to so much abuse that they cancelled it. So even if Midddlesex is a solid UK institution, it is no guarantee for the quality of the degree.

RGU is a normal Scottish university and might have closer connection to the industry due to its proximity to the UK - oil fields.

UoL offers distance learning and the name of the university might be more recognized from a global perspective.

Where are you located? Do you know people working in this field that might be able to offer you advice?
