Help in choosing between Cranfield vs Bath vs Strathclyde

John Snow

Hi guys,

I am in a precarious position and I need to confirm my seat for the above mentioned B-schools.
Cranfield : Have an offer for 2021 intake and Gmat of 680 as a precondition
Bath : Sept 2020 intake (££ scholarships given)
Strathclyde : Sept 2020 intake (££ given)

I have 6 years of work ex in banking and finance domain and looking to get a senior position in the same domain. Maybe consulting also if everything works.
Please help me in choosing the right college. Also am a mature student and I have 5 years extra work ex as a full time musician.

I don't understand why you are not applying for FT-ranked schools, since the sort of opportunities you mention are given most to those people.

If 2021 is an option then use the time to apply to better schools, do your research and reduce any concerns about borrowing to afford the right schools. Read the posts linked on my profile pages about LinkedIn and scholarships.

Depending on your precarity, which might make things urgent, Edinburgh and Durham both place more than a quarter of their cohorts into finance and are much better choices.

So would you say Cranfield would fare worse off right now compared to Durham or Edinburgh? Asking this because if i do go for 2021 then I might want to try and give GMAT a shot.

If 2021 is an option then you should instead aim at the schools that place best into the roles you seek.
