Hi kidmanx,
You will get only one sided advices from here. I see lot of them in this thread and others. Be very careful when taking decisions based on someone whom you don't know. People can have different opinions because of various reasons. And they can have different motives.
Please be careful and do your on research. Better contact some alumini and ask them about their college not about some other college and compare those opinions. The colleges will give u these contacts.

I think you're very unfairly biased against Bradford, I read some of your other posts and you compared Bradford's MBA to schools who don't even have EQUIS accreditation. You?ve said it's easy to enter, doesn?t have student's interested in it, which is not true - my friend applied for the Msc in Finance this month, and was told it is full !
Bradford's MBA has been ranked for several years, while Aston has been on table for max of 3, not saying that makes it better but it's something to think about.
I've done checks on Alumni?s between Bradford and Aston, and when it comes to Salary Bradford Alumni are doing far better, and isn't that the reason for doing an MBA or MSC?
After seeing someone's post on Bradford getting their AACSB accreditation soon, I did some checks and it is true, that was my main worry about Bradford, since this is settled I would be paying my deposit next week.

Hi Kidmax,
I had compared only where ppl asked for comparisons; never had purposely done so. And since I am not an study-abroad agent, Aston wont pay me a single dime for promoting their name!
Myself had applied to Bradford MSc for the 2009 admit so as you see I speak from my experience and let me reiterate once again, its indeed easy to enter in Bradford Som than other good UK B Schools.
The only reason why Bradford gained so much amount of limelight is because it was in the UKBA-HSMP list. Every year Bradford receives lots and lots of applications since the cost of living is perhaps one of the lowest in England.
The reason why your friend refused entry in the MSc might be because he/she applied late and considering the fact that Bradford is cheap to study seats are indeed booked fast..very fast actually!
Yes thats right Bradford has been in the FT rankings for years...in 2009 Bradford's rank in FT is 87 where as Aston is at 77...interestingly Aston has been ranked for the first time in 2009 only...so i guess thats speaks a lot!
If Bradford does really get AACSB 'in future' it sure deserves it and of course it will be counted among elites but the the facts I have stated wont change even an inch; Aston still is better than Bradford. The only reason Aston looses out to Bradford cz the Aston is a new kid on the block. EIU ranks Aston as 61 and Bradford as 99.
Do you really think I am 'very unfairly biased against Bradford'?
You need not worry so much, just listen to your heart...choose what you think is best and give your best shot and (God willing) you will do better than the alumnus you are talking about.
I dont have any vested interest and do not take side. I say whats right and back up my claims with figures. Post 31st Aug like you I too will be busy preparing for my travel and MSc study. What do I gain by misguiding you bro?!!!
All the best.

Oh no Nes, don't get me wrong I'm grateful for your advice,as I'm sure most of the people on here too,it's obvious you've done through research.
As I said in my post,my points were not to say if Bradford was better than Aston,my point was Bradford is a good school and holds it's own.
In other posts you compared Bradford with some other University's MBA which don't even have reputable business schools, apart from your last post you've never said anything positive about Bradford, which drew me to the conclusion that for some reason - You hate the school.... I might be wrong lol.
In this coming year The School of Management is building a multi million £ facilty for their MBA to be finished in Dec this year, that along with the AACSB accrredition this year shows they are always trying to self improve, and this would have an effect on future rankings.
Best of luck in your Msc,and thanks for all the advice

So as I guessed, Some of the advicers here are not alumini's or don't have any first hand experiences in the above said schools. Thats why I said, please make sure before making your choices.
I spoke to a current student in the Aston MBA. I didn't see that he is particularly enthusiastic about the quality of Aston compared to other schools. In his own words, "since I study here, I won't say anything bad about this college. But there is no much difference between leeds, bradford, nottingham or any tier 2 colleges. All comes under same level. What matters is if you go up to tier 1 colleges CASS, oxford, lancaster or so...."
By the way I saw in another website lot of bad opinions about CASS MBA compared to tier 1 colleges. Finally the person accepted that he is a graduate student (he answered in another forumn)!!!!! Can you believe that??
It is always best to get first hand experience. Rather than wasting time in reading such posts you can get info from alumini and current students.
Bradford was part of HSMP and many students went there just to get HSMP. So when that system is removed it is natural that some of them are disappointed and that reflected in the rankings. FT rankings is known for the weightage given to alumini opinions.
Each year rankings change. So check 2,3 years rankings or check average ranking and use it as a starting point of your research.
Let me clarify again that there is no much difference between the tier 2 colleges. You will get salary based on your experience and your performance. Not because you are from a particular bus. school. I don't see any point arguing about the quality of some colleges or abusing others. That doesn't make any difference in your life. Do the homework. Study well. Best wishes.

i just came across an ad from bradford and they run an MBA which last 10 months starting for the first time Jan 2010.
So anyone who want to do a decent British MBA who is clear about their choice can apply.
I write this for the sake of MBA-want-to-be and I am not associated with ANY educational agency.
