The ESSEC MBA in Luxury Brand Management is probably the most comprehensive specialised MBA programme that you will find on the market - I worked there for 3 years, and can vouch for the quality of the curriculum, the selection of participants, and the alumni network. Ideally you should have five to seven years work experience to benefit from all facets of the programme - most MBAs are designed to encourage the cross-sharing of experience between participants; prior experience of the luxury sector is not compulsory - what is important is to bring a certain expertise (for example having experience in retail, or supply-chains, or intellectual property /trademark, sourcing ... ) that will make your profile attractive to the luxury sector. Do check the website and in particular, the CV book of the current/past participants that you can easily download, to give you an idea of the type of participants. Most interesting for this MBA programme is the extensive alumni network as very early on there were participants from Asia - Japan, China, Korea, India - as well as the Americas and Europe.

hi York!
The ESSEC MBA in international luxury brand management admits now every year between 40 an 45 participants. For further information, please follow this link : http://www.essec.edu/programs/mba-programs/mba-in-international-luxury-brand-management.html
This is STILL the only MBA in luxury brand management worldwide. The corporate network contributing to course content and offering careers is very high level!
Good luck!

When Francoise says that ESSEC is the *only* luxury MBA in the world, that's not quite right. Even on this site you can find ten (http://www.find-mba.com/search).

Hi, I am Aastha, 23 yr old girl from India (have about 2.5 yrs of work ex in Finance sector). I wish to study MBA in Luxury brand Management. Since, this is a kind of unheard of subject in India, Im disillusioned. Desperately need advice on kind of schools and countries to apply to, expected job types and prospects, expected salary packages, competant gmat scores, financial aid, etc. (also kindly brief about what this course is all about) ..also if i could get in touch with some1 already pursuing it/or pursued this course..Some ppl are also suggesting not to go in for such a specialised course and limit my options, but I see myself working in luxury apparel/accessories sector.....HELPP!!!!!! pleaseeeeeee..as Im looking towards applying for 2009 Intake...
Hi Aastha,
I am in a dilemma, can you please answer the same queries now.. I have exactly the same queries.. Thanks..
