A PhD at that cost..... hmmmm. That would be tough. I don't know of any AACSB programs that would be an option for.

I suggest reading through these threads before offering suggestions to the candidates, just to prevent them exploring dead ends.

Hi Duncan,

The original post was asking about a MBA, low cost, which is a perfect fit. Though *one poster* is recommending to go straight to the PhD, it was not the original post.

I apologize for giving options, didn't mean to offend, just offer programs that may be a fit. Good luck to the original poster!

I don't think anyone is recommending going directly to the PhD. This person has a three year BA and therefore needs a fourth year or masters to get into a PhD. Given their limited budget and focus on a PhD, what would you recommend?

Though it is the case that one could directly move to a PhD, it is a risk. When I advise students, if I know they will get through without a doubt, and have a strong application package, I would advise them to go this route. Unfortunately, if they don't make it through, they don't have anything to show for it. By going the MBA route, they will have the Master's if anything occurs prior to graduating with the PhD.

I also find most of the PhD schools are looking for a thesis or substantial project to look at prior to acceptance, which typically not in a portfolio of an undergraduate student.

I hope this helps and best of luck!

I did my executive education in Boston before moving on to a PhD program, and I think it may have influenced the schools decision to accept me. I do have an MBA, but the rest of my application wasn't all that competitive and they asked about it in the interview.

Why Finland? There are no full-time MBAs in Finland with international accreditation, nor are there unaccredited MBAs there specialising in Finance. Take a look at http://www.find-mba.com/search

I would suggest that you either consider UK or any other developed english speaking country, for maximum output from your MBA.

If you already have an MBA, what would be the benefit of having a second one? Why not look into targeted executive programs to skill-up? Depending on where you are in India and how you are looking to augment your career, you have a few options. IIM-B offers courses in everything from strategy to marketing and leadership:

http://www.nextexecutive.com/schools/iimb-bangalore

A lot of international schools (including Harvard and Wharton) offer programs in Mumbai:

And of course, there's always ISB:

There is no good MBA at that price anywhere, and no bad MBA in Italy at that price. So, you need to
- be flexible on the the quality of the MBA (or look for an MSc), - reconsider the budget
- reassess Italy
