Choosing Between WSB University and Vistula University in Poland

Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to decide between two universities in Poland and could use some advice. Here’s a brief overview of my situation:

WSB University
Flexibility: WSB University is my top choice due to its flexibility, which would be beneficial as I plan to study and work full-time.
Diploma Issue: I’m from Azerbaijan, where we receive our diplomas in September. WSB University has informed me that they cannot send me invoice details without my diploma. They are also checking with the dean’s office but have been slow to respond (12 days so far).
Vistula University
Invoice Details: Vistula University has already sent me the invoice details, which is helpful for my visa application.
Work Opportunity: I am unsure whether Vistula University will allow me to work full-time alongside my studies.
I need to apply for my visa this week, so time is of the essence. Should I proceed with Vistula University to ensure I meet my visa deadline, or should I wait a bit longer for WSB University’s response, considering its flexibility?

Any advice or insights on how to make this decision would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

This is indeed a complex decision with several factors to consider. Let's break down the key points and think through your options:
Time Constraint:Your visa application deadline this week is the most pressing issue. This puts significant pressure on you to make a quick decision.
WSB University:
Pros:

- Your top choice
- Offers flexibility for full-time work alongside studies

Cons:

- Delayed response regarding invoice details- Uncertainty about diploma requirement
Vistula University:

Pros:

- Already provided invoice details, facilitating visa application

Cons:

- Uncertainty about full-time work possibilities
Given these factors, here's my advice:

- Immediate action: Contact WSB University urgently. Explain your visa deadline and request an expedited response. You might even try calling them if possible.
- Parallel planning: While waiting for WSB's response, prepare your application for Vistula University as a backup. This ensures you have a viable option if WSB doesn't respond in time.
- Research work policies: Try to quickly research or contact Vistula University about their policies on students working full-time. This information could significantly influence your decision.
- Weigh flexibility vs. certainty: If WSB doesn't respond in time, you'll need to decide whether Vistula's certainty (with invoice details ready) outweighs WSB's potential flexibility.
- Long-term perspective: Consider which university better aligns with your career goals and academic interests beyond work flexibility.
Ultimately, if WSB doesn't respond in time for your visa application, proceeding with Vistula might be the most prudent choice. You can always consider transferring later if WSB turns out to be a significantly better fit.

Remember, while the ability to work full-time is important, the quality of education and alignment with your career goals should also be significant factors in your decision.
