Do I need to do a concentration if I want to work in strategy consulting

I would like to get into strategy consulting after doing an MBA.

My question is, do I need to do a concentration in consulting if I want to get a job in the field? I've noticed that some MBA programs don't even offer concentrations.

Thanks,
Matt

No, it's more important to attend one of the four or five schools that the firms you are interested in. And in terms of curriculum, most of these MBA programs will provide adequate strategy courses in the first year, which you'll probably need in a consulting firm. If not, you can pick up some strategy courses in your second year.
