Part or Full time MBA for Indian EU Blue card holder

Hi everyone,

So here's a delimma, I am working for a German company from India and earn around 62k euros a year which after tax comes to 50k approx.

I got a chance to move to Germany on blue card and I'm thinking of moving soon. My goal after MBA is to reach into team lead roles within operations and hope to move to an English speaking country post graduation as soon as I can get a chance.

If i stay in germany, I save very little in comparison to my Indian residence. (rent etc). I want to do MBA asap(been planning for 2+ years). But on the plus side, I will get my blue card converted to PR and other blue card related perks assuming I learn German (which I'm working on).

Now my question is, do I move to Europe on blue card and do the MBA (on a loan atleast 50% of tution, 20k euros) for 2 years OR wait a bit, earn atleast sufficiently in india and move to Germany next year on no loan on a student visa and then hope to get a job then get my blue card period started. Mannheim or WHU ofc

Its a tough situation, need some guidance please.

If you want to move to an English-speaking country, do your studies there full-time. So, rather than take a budget MBA that won't place well, either

- {a} take an MSc in a business function like operations (your budget will get you into a better school for an MSc than an MBA), or

- {b} move to Germany. Save up. Build your creditworthiness. Then make a bigger MBA investment in yourself.

The choice year hinges on your professionals goals and, if you are Indian, perhaps on your age and marriage plans.

Thank you Duncan for your response! My marriage age is near lol, almost getting 30, I have like 2-3 years. Also as you mentioned, find Msc in top bschool. Which university can you suggest? The budget goes to 40,000 euros. Any good recommendations for uni? Preference is Europe for the MSc but Us or UK or Canada, any works

Thank you for your response Stuart. I am not interested in finance management. My preference is in Msc General management as I may also change my field after that, depending on the situation. Are there any good options there?
