The high degree of collaboration with companies and partners is also worth mentioning, enhancing the students' networking with the institutions.

EAE employability

The Annual Report 2017 confirms the continuous growth of the figures and percentages related to the employability of the students of EAE Business School. The Professional Career Service has managed during the past academic year 6,375 job offers and internships (vs. 5,553 in 2016) from more than 4,500 companies (vs. 3,516 in 2016) to work in more than 34 sectors.

This data translates into an average of 530 new offers per month, 11% more than during the previous year. Each student of the School receives about 4.4 job offers and internships so that 95% of the students find practices thanks to the Professional Careers Service of EAE Business School.

Other figures that stand out in the annual report is that 91% of the students of EAE Business School find work six months after finishing the Master; 74% improve their professional situation and 67% acknowledge having achieved a job opportunity through the channels provided by EAE Business School; 50% increase their salary one year after completing the Master and 9% of students decide to start their own business after graduating.

The Top 10 of EAE Recruiter companies in 2017 demonstrates the diversity of sectors. Banco Santander, Grupo Telefónica, Everis, Nestlé, Banco Popular, Seat, Accenture, BBVA, Banc Sabadell and Deutsche Bank are the companies that are part of this list. These ones are also part of the 200 that participated in the four major employability events organized by the School: Talent Week, Company Day, Online Employment Forum and Company Meeting.

EAE international

The international character is another of the competitive values ​​of the School. 62% of the students have been international, from more than 90 different nationalities; EAE Business School has agreements with more than 80 universities and academic institutions from 25 countries and four continents such as Babson Collegue (USA), George Mason (USA), University of Guadalajara (Mexico), University of Quebec (Canada) or Viña del Mar University (Chile); and their students can enjoy International Residential Programs.

During 2017, a total of 69 EAE students have completed an international itinerary in countries such as China or the USA. UU On the other hand, up to 55 students of the EAE Degree lived their experience of the Erasmus Program in 24 universities in 11 countries. In addition EAE Business School has received students from different universities such as IDRAC École de Commerce (France), ISCTE, University Institute of Lisbon (Portugal) and UTSA, The University of Texas at San Antonio (USA).

EAE networking 

The Campus of Madrid and Barcelona have hosted, in total, more than 740 events organized by the School during the past year 2017. They were enrolled more than 19,000 people, including students and alumni of EAE Business School.

Some networking events of the students, with the participation of professional experts in each area, have been TEDxEAEBusiness School or the cycle Spanish Managers around the World that has had directives from Microsoft, HP, Hero, Red Bull or Sodexo, among others .

Throughout 2017, different alumni meetings were organized, not only in Spain but internationally, such as Bogotá, Mexico City or Lima. The 2017 Annual Alumni Meeting, held at the Palco de Honor of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid, was attended by Mitch Lowe, co-founder of Netflix, as keynote speaker.

EAE’s academic faculty is made up of an outstanding team of lecturers, university teachers and highly respected professionals in this field of knowledge. They are business experts working as consultants, senior managers and advisers in private companies and institutions. As a result, the participants in this programme acquire constantly updated knowledge with a solid academic basis.

A total of 451 teachers make up the faculty of EAE Business School, of which 38% is international and 72% combine teaching with their professional management activities. During the past 2017, the 45,585 hours of teaching were reached.

Finally, the annual report highlights the participation of teachers in media, both national and international, on 500 occasions, as experts in articles, interviews and training specials such as El Espectador, La República or El Tiempo. In addition, members of the EAE faculty have been interviewed more than 160 times on national radio and television stations such as RTVE, Atresmedia, Cadena Ser, Mediaset España or RNE.

The decent faculty also develops research activity, which is why it has 18 articles in published indexed journals, 37 presentations at congresses and conferences, 10 publications in the HD Business Research journal, 19 reports published in the Strategic Research Center, 4 new reports in Business Review and 12 presentations in congresses and conferences presented by the Teaching Innovation Group.

The main objective of the admissions process is to ensure the suitability of the candidates for the programme, by looking at their professional experience and their academic background.

Our aim is for all participants to make the most of the experience we offer through a context in which they may develop a long-term relationship with classmates, lecturers and alumni.

In order to start the admissions process, it is necessary to fill in the form so that EAE’s Academic Committee can consider their application. If the decision issued by the Academic Committee for the programme requested is positive, the candidate can complete their registration for the programme.

The main goal of our admissions process is to ensure the candidate’s suitability. All participants should be able to take full advantage of this learning experience, within a context in which they can develop long-term relationships with classmates, teachers and former students.

The EAE Campus for Master and Postgraduate programs in Barcelona is located at the very heart of the Catalan capital.

The Campus boasts extensive modern facilities over an area of  5,000 square metres. As well as the training activities that take place here, the Campus is also the venue for the majority of the School’s institutional projects, with the participation of the members of the School community: students, teachers, staff, collaborators, professionals, directors, companies and institutions.

The EAE campus in Madrid was founded in 2006 and has been in its current location since September 2013. The EAE Madrid campus is at Calle Joaquín Costa 41, in the financial heart of Madrid and very near the Nuevos Ministerios – Paseo de la Castellana axis and Calle Serrano. We now also have two new headquarters in Madrid: one at Calle Príncipe de Vergara, 108 and the other at Calle Príncipe de Vergara, 156.

The new building has approximately 4,000 square metres distributed over five floors, a terrace and a private garden. Its facilities include 24 study or teaching rooms, 10 multifunctional rooms for co-working, meetings and videoconferences, an events hall with seating for up to 100 people, reading room and library, cafeteria and different places for student attention.

Of the new students, 48% are from Europe, 45% from Latin America, 4% from Africa, 1.5% from Asia and a further 1.5% from North America. 53% of the students are women and 47% men. Their professional profiles come from different areas such as consultancy, e-commerce, engineering, finance, business administration, health sciences and communication, among others.

In this new academic year, four new programs have been brought into the EAE Business School offer: the Master in Entrepreneuring and Innovation, with 70 credits; the Master in Supply Chain Management & Logistics (70 credits in English) on the Barcelona and Madrid campus; and Master in Leadership and Coaching (70 credits), on the Madrid campus for junior profiles. The Barcelona campus has also incorporated the Degree in Marketing and Digital Communication.

LEARNING BOTH IN AND OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

EAE Business School strives to guarantee that our students’ learning experience is as enriching as possible and that it takes place both inside and outside the classroom.

1) BEFORE THE START OF THE COURSE

One of the main objectives of EAE Business School is to guarantee that students have the most enriching learning experience possible, both inside and outside the classroom. In this respect, what really sets the school apart is the EAE Experience that all of our students have from their very first day right through to the end of their academic course. The activities, events and other types of sessions that are run throughout the program can basically be divided into three key periods for students:

Online Welcome Classroom

To start getting a better idea of the online platform of the Student Campus, we give you a selection of information related to accommodation in Madrid and Barcelona, legal procedures, the academic calendar and other useful details about the steps to take before starting classes.

Welcome Week

One of the best activities for students to get to know each other before they begin classes takes place in the School’s Welcome Week. Throughout this first week of contact, various presentations are given with regard to how the School operates, the program on which the students are about to embark and EAE’s Professional Careers Service, among other aspects.

Moreover, at the end of the week, students take part in the Outdoor session, which involves group trials and exercises that develop communication, teamwork, creativity, etc. and gives students the chance to get to know each other.

2) DURING THE COURSE

Once the Welcome Week is over, students are more than ready to get started on their EAE program. Throughout the academic year, as well as attending classes, there are many activities and events that students are invited to take part in. These activities can be divided into three groups:

Refresher activities

The aim of these activities is to keep the students’ knowledge right up to date with monthly events focusing on management. These include management conferences with experts in the field, web conferences on Management Trends and Innovation, Coaching sessions and access to EAE’s Digital Library of Management, with over 13,000 publications and subscriptions to magazines such as Time and the Harvard Deusto Business Review.

Networking

These activities are run with the aim of maximising the level of satisfaction of EAE’s students, professionals and teachers. Monthly networking activities are organised focusing on students’ social and cultural growth, such as museum visits, cultural trips around Madrid and Barcelona and occasional sporting activities (running, football leagues, padel tournaments, etc.).

In addition, EAE also holds the traditional Solidarity at Christmas Party, in which the students work with a food bank, the Charity Christmas Concert, the Blood Donation Drive and the International Dinner, a culinary festival at which students from different countries and cultures share the very best of their national cuisines.

Professional Careers

All EAE students have access to the School’s Professional Careers Service. Within the framework of this service, several activities are organised for students in relation to their integration into the world of employment, professional development, etc.

These activities include monthly Talent Development webinars and workshops focusing on Entrepreneurship, Career Transition and Recruitment, as well as the Online Employment Forum, the Graduate Program and the International Career Event. Moreover, students also have access to the School’s Employment Portal.

3) END OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR

To mark the end of the academic year, EAE students are invited to the Graduation Ceremony, an extremely special event for whole community at the School and an unforgettable day for everyone involved.
