UNC Announces STEM-Designated MBA Concentration in Business Analytics

New concentration to launch this month

UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School has announced the launch of a new MBA concentration in Business Analytics and Data Science, which is STEM-certified.

The new concentration is aimed at students who want to understand how data can be leveraged to make business decisions. The elective offerings as part of the concentration include classes like "Quantitative Methods," "Marketing Analytics," and "Operations & Revenue Analytics," among others.

The STEM designation means that those international students who pursue the concentration will be eligible for a two-year extension on their post-MBA OPT visa, which normally allows for just one year.

UNC's new STEM-designated MBA concentration in Business Analytics and Data Science launches this month, according to a news release from the school.
