Hi Ralph/Duncan,
Please suggest decent US B-schools for SCM concentration.
I am interested in pursuing Supply Chain Financial Management.
Profile :
*GMAT : 620
*GPA :3.2
*Work experience : 3.5 years(IT+Family Owned business)
-Prior IT experience in developing CRM systems with Sales Force Automation .I feel CRM experience would complement SCM very well since I would know in and out how the sales process works as well as supplier/vendor management.
-- I am working with Software-based SCM solutions that allow syncing inventory levels and ordering systems for order fulfillment.
*Good recommendations.
*Decent Extra curriculars.
*MBA(SCM) with Finance would allow me to develop skills in budgeting/valuation/earning analysis.
*Career Path post MBA : More flexibility in choosing roles. Supply Chain analyst, Capital budgeting analyst,Financial planning & control analyst. Please give your feedback.:-)
Thanks

There's a lot of discussion about that on this board already. Come back if you have any specific questions after reading through them.

What regions are you looking at?
Considering your intended focus, you might check out ASU Carey. The MBA offers a focus in Supply Chain Financial Management, and it's ranked in the FT, has reasonable placement stats, etc.
I'd also suggest looking at the Penn State/Smeal program - it has an MBA concentration in supply chain management. Some curriculum delves into the tools you are discussing - e-based processes, software and technologies, etc.
The Michigan State/Broad MBA concentration in SCM is similar: it covers integrated tools, etc.
There's also an SCM MBA program at Wisconsin that's pretty good.

Ezra,Duncan ..
Schools where I intend to apply for MBA in SCM are :
Cleveland State University
Loyola University,Chicago
RIT Saunders
UT Arlington
Bryant university
I will be applying to the above schools for Spring 14 intake.
-Please evaluate the schools for my profile - Safe/Moderate/Ambitious and please suggest other schools for Spring 14 intake.
-I am open to any function post MBA - logistics, manufacturing, retail ,tech or consulting.
-Which of the above schools will be good for Ops/SCM consulting
-Are there any dual programs - MS/MBA (SCM) program ?
I searched other schools on this forum known for their SCM program .Most top ranked schools have fall intake. Due to personal reasons,I won't be able to wait till Fall 14. So, I want to target Jan intake. Thanks a lot guys ....
