MBA USC vs McCombs

Guys,

I need some advice on this decision - where to go for my MBA (USC Marshall or McCombs)

This is my breakdown of the pros vs cons:

Location USC over McCombs
Cost (including scholarship from McCombs) - definitely McCombs over USC
Post MBA salaries - no clear winner

USC seems to have better placements in the industries I'm interesting in (Technology, Consulting). However, McCombs isn't bad here either.

Any advice??

UTA is generally the better school, in terms of rankings and alumni recommendations. It certainly has better career services. As a private school, USC's alumni network is pretty good. However, UTA is the best school in the Southern United States, while USC isn't even the best business school in that city. So, I think the standing of the school is better, and the cohort will probably be better too.

I would choose McCombs over Marshall any day. A fairer comparison would have been UCLA vs UTA maybe, but USC is no where near UTA.

You won't regret going to UTA

Thanks all. I went with McCombs. Was looking forward to living in LA but you're right, McCombs is simply the better option. I can go to LA after the MBA. :)
