management consulting

Hello,

I'm about to apply for MBA programs with the goal of graduating and working for a management consulting firm. These are the schools I'm looking at:

1. Kellogg
2. Dartmouth
3. Columbia

What others should I look at? Safety schools?

I would suggest looking at British Business Schools - their MBAs are extremely innovative - the culture is truly phenomenonal - you get to network with professionals from about 50 countries who happen to be your peers and its absolute value for money as you tend to spend half amount of time and money with a chance to visit and network with other European business schools!
Hope the above helps.

All the best!

Hmm. I'm not so sure about that sweeping statement above, but I'll just let it be. Anyway, to answer your question, I think consulting is one of those fields where you should just go to the best school you can get into. It's a pretty generic field and an MBA from a good school will surely help you along. You're aiming high which is good.

They are all good. Who gives a rats ass about innovative british schools. The only schools that matter are the ones where the firms you want to work at recruit. In the UK, that LBS, oxbridge and no one else.
