Georgetown vs. Carnegie Mellon

Tough one! Congratulations - both are excellent schools. I would think that Tepper would lean slightly towards tech consulting while Georgetown towards federal consulting based on it's location. The employment statistics doesn't provide much to differentiate.

I think you'd like Georgetown better as it opens more doors including Govt/Fed consulting.

Yes, I'd also lean slightly towards Georgetown. Probably not for MBB firms but the Goldman / PwC tier. Decent salary statistics.

Some people like Pittsburgh a lot but I'm more about DC.

That's basically what I was thinking, thanks for confirming! The other complication is that I am waitlisted at Cornell. Should I wait for that?

Do you know how many from Cornell wait list were offered admission last year?

I am risk averse. Bird in hand is worth two in bush, but Cornell is Cornell.

Try to delay the Georgetown deposit citing Corona virus etc. or need more time to arrange funds? At the same time perhaps reach out to Cornell for an answer. Not sure what you can do in such a short time frame to jump out from the wait list into "heck yeah we want him" list. One option is of course letting them know that you have multiple offers at hand and need to pull the trigger. Or could be an additional recommendation letter from Cornell alumni or faculty if you have those connections.

Those are my 2 cents. My advice is worth 2 cents (Canadian) only. Good luck !

I think it's a good time to be on the waitlist. Conversion rates will be way down.

Which WGU are you referring to? Surely Western Governors University's MBA is not open to foreigners is it?

Neither would be a good investment. Stick to free / low-cost online classes if these are your only two options.

No, I can't recommend any one year online MBA. Manchester Metropolitan and almost all other good online MBAs will be at least two years.

PS try https://find-mba.com/board/distance-learning/value-alternatives-to-unaccredited-mbas-58288

As an update I am holding out for Cornell for at least the next week. I have a good feeling about it.
