Bentley Vs. Thunderbird

Wish you all the best for your future endeavour Laith. I enjoyed sharing my experience at Thunderbird.

Please be advised my recommendation for Purdue was ONLY based on the stats mentioned in earlier posts; not considering other dimensions of an MBA program.

Good Luck :)

Thank you shusnak, i really appreciate it. for purdue i checked their deadlines its too late now to apply for it.
Its not an easy desicion because i only rely on forums and information that differs among websits. however, what i have so far tells me that there is a question mark about thunderbird and on my situation i dont think i will take this risk.yet i believe bentley is better choice till i get other options.

If your specific goal is employment, then I also think Bentley is a safer choice than Thunderbird. However, neither of these are strong tracks into consulting firms. Can you defer your entry to 2015? That will make you a more attractive candidate and allow you to improve your GMAT scores and give you time to research schools with a stronger chance of leading you to your goals.

well i dont think i will be able to postpone that to 2015 because by the time the school starts i will be 30. i will reserve my seat at bentley now and wait for other schools feedback.

i have one question, if the ivy schools are the only ones that open opportunities why the other schools are there ?!?!

We,, most jobs are not with consulting firms, and most consulting firms don't consult to top management. The number of firms that focus on strategic/management consulting is really small. Those firms recruit from: the top one or two national business schools, for their domestic market, and the top 20 global schools for international opportunities. That's not only, or even mainly, schools in the Ivy League but also Stanford, London, Chicago, Insead, MIT etc.

If you want to work for a major, global management consulting company, well even those are small firms are they focus their recruiting. If you want to work for an IT firm or an accounting company, well those are much larger and they recruit more widely.

In that case look at How to use LinkedIn to find the best school www.find-mba.com/board/33571

I would certainly consider two year programmes with an Internship. Look at the schools that IT services firms hire from the most?

Starting salaries at 10k higher after W&M, and that difference will widen with time. So, an extra tuition is nothing when you add up all that extra income. You get a cohort with twice as much work experience and a college with a much better staff-student ratio. It's a much more selective and more international school... and the second-oldest university in the USA. It's a larger MBA program with more pull on recruiters. All of those little differences add up to give W&M a solid advantage.
