Guys, Need your help in identifying few business schools (fall 2014), where i can get a quality education and equally good ROI. Here is brief of my profile:

GMAT :: 630
Work EX:4 years (at the time of matriculating). Worked in Fortune 500 company and had roles starting from tech support, pre-sales, key a/c management, special project coordinator etc. Currently working in a consulting firm (loyalty marketing) as an Analyst.

Awards and recognition:
1. Promotion in very first year of my first JOB.
2. Three BIG awards during my services in one of the organisations, in less than 3 years.
3. awards during my school and engineering days.

extracurricular activities

1. Actively working for NGOs, NPO - worked on issues related to environment and education. Did couple of case study projects as well.
2. Organizing committee head in College and was Coordinator of many events during my professional career.
3. Initiated and planned many team building activities and skill building activities etc.

Drawback: Indian male :p
Comparatively Low GMAT Score.

Hi Duncan,

Before you post a reply i did some research and shortlisted following schools :
1. Urbana champaign
2. Purdue university
3. University of connecticut
4. Telfer school of management ( canada)
5. Belk college of business.

Based on the average gmat, first 3 might be a little strech, however my extracurricular activities would help.
Telfer seems to be the only one ( from canada ) that fits me.

Not sure about belk, did't have much info about it.
Can you quote couple of colleges where my chances would be better.
Any idea about belk college, uncc.

Thanks in advance.

In my opinion you are in no way a competitive candidate at those first three schools, nor at Broad. All of them have average GMAT scores above yours, and schools will expect Indian candidates (who often don't add much to the diversity of a cohort since they are often men in technical functional roles) to have a GMAT well above the average.

Belk is mainly a commuter school, without strong career services. It's not bad for finance.

Read the article again. Look for schools with average GMAT scores under 600 -- and improve your GMAT.
