Hi All,
This is Paddy from India. I have 3.5+ of work ex in IT industry, and I have applied to below mentioned Universities in UK:
Bradford
Durham
Exeter
Leicester
Brunel
NewCastle
Surrey
Southampton
From above list, I got offer from New Castle, Surrey, Southampton and Leicester.
I have couple of question here:
1) Is there any other good university(apart from the ones mentioned above) that I can apply,if yes what would be my chances?
2) Of the four Universities from which I got offer, please rank them high to low? Whether its worth joining ?
3) What are the job prospects after MBA?
4) I am also planning to apply in Birmingham, Glassgow, Sheffield, Lancaster, Aston,Leeds and Nottingham. Are these Universities good?

Hi Paddy,
Other good Universities are,as everyone know, LBS, OXFORD,Cambridge, Warwick.
Sorry, i do not know much about the universities you have listed. Of them i have heard Bradford is kind of OK.
From the other list you are intending to apply Lancaster is very good.

@ Paddy
I wonder how these selections were made...I dont see any similarity in your pick......I think it is a random selection...May have to rethink while selecting.....I think you are in initial stage of B-school preparation...More efforts has to be poured...

My question is What is the point in trying LBS and Leicester?
A guy who is trying for LBS will keep Oxbridge, cass etc as substitute but will never keep bottom tire as substitute....So what is the point in getting offers from all categories....

Birmingham is conducting direct counselling by next month. You can register and participate....Check in web
What is the reason for hesitation?Try as many univ you can irrespective of results....Becoz u r not going to loose anything by applying...

Lancaster application deadlines for October intake this year is at the end of next month (31st May), good for careers in consulting/management - you're just in time to apply...you've got less than the average years work experience (7 yrs) but it's worth a try right? I do think you'll need a GMAT though.

Today I gave my GMAT but scored only 600....can anyone suggest some universities who accepts this score?

Hi,
You could go for Nottingham University Business School, their average GMAT is 600, and they're a bit cheaper than others in the UK, 1 year etc.
Or you could also try and apply to a couple of others with average GMATs above 600 such as Warwick 620 or Cranfield 660 (it's just an average so they'll take applicants from a larger range...).
It's off-putting to hear when schools reject a candidate with a really high GMAT score but there are lots of other factors in play - bad interview, poor quality work experience, not enough work experience.
I read somewhere on here it's best to apply to a range of schools - 2 fall-backs (should be easy to get in) 2 matches (your average GMAT, work experience) and 2 hopefuls (higher than your averages).
You never know, you could get into your hopefuls and not the other 4, admissions isn't an exact science :)

I have an interview with Bradford?..how difficult is the interview?....What question can I anticipate?...Generally, what is the conversion ratio?
I have applied to Glassgow and Birmingham few days back, by what time can I expect the reply or is it too late even to get a reply?
Although people have discussed a lot on job prospects topic but what is the current scenario...is it too bad to get a job in UK?
Also,my brother-in-law, who himself is the CFO in a company in Dubai is very much against UK MBA. According to him, UK MBAs do not have credibility in US and even in Asia. He strictly believe that MBA from India is anytime much better option than doing it from UK. I am bit confused at this stage whether I should stick to my UK Plan or switch back to Indian MBA ? (knowing that getting in top Indian B Shools is extremely difficult )
