NUS MiF in the UK

Thant Htet...

Hello. I am from Myanmar (Burma). I have received an unconditional offer for MSc Investment Management from the University of Reading. I am waiting for the Birmingham, and Exeter.

Regarding the NUS MSc in Finance, I can't figure out why its ranking cannot be found on the FT ranking, although NUS is a highly respected business school. Is there any chance of a NUS MiF graduate working in the UK? I plan to work in the UK for 1-2 years after my MSc before moving to Thailand or Singapore in the long run.

Thank you.

If you study in the UK then you get a post-study work visa and, of course, you are able to meet with recruiters in the UK easily if you study here. If you want to work in the UK, study here. Probably NUS isn't ranked because of the small size of the programme. However, even if it was ranked it would not be a great choice for the UK market.

Thank you sir. So, is the MSc Investment Management from UoReading more favourable in terms of international mobility than NUS for someone like me who is willing to move to Asia after 1-2 years in the UK?

Yes, if you want to start work in the US and then move to Singapore, then the UK MSc is the better option.
