Without work experience, no there aren't any unless you've got some amazing leadership story to tell. But you'd have to look at the States for that (Wharton, Stanford, etc.). The reports all claim that they're moving towards a younger age, but when in the interview, you're going to be asked what you can contribute to the class, or how you can make up for your lack of WE or your young age. Chances are though, you're not going to get it. It's a competitive year next year esp since the schools are getting their int'l loans in place.

WIthout work experience, you really won't find the theory applicable, and frankly, those 1-2 years in MBA qwould become a waste.
this is very true - an MBA without work experience is a waste of time, and would only leave you with a nice paper at the end, not to mention the big hole in your pocket! also think about what your fellow students with work experience will feel like when you ask something that would have been obvious to you if you had some work experience!
sorry for the rant, just letting some steam out :-)

>what kind of work experience<
any kind..full time would be nice though...any sector...even community service also counts...! A permanent position/intern in a company would be just perfect!
>wat kind of quality should i improve myself<
Though i cudnt understand properly what do u intend to ask but a few months of direct contact with corporate world increase ur quality..if u r willing to prob more...try accumulating some certifications to ur credit...

Sir here quite tough to get a full time job in corporate sectors because they expected PG qualification, but i can get a job from call centers is it ok for work experience.....
Posted May 16, 2009 12:53
I don't think that a job in a call center will help, unless it is a managerial job, but a part time internship in the corporate sector will probably do the trick.
and you also have to remember that it all depends on how you describe your experience and its relevance in the application process. there is some room for creativity there...

Frankly, Cardiff is a old and decent Uni, infact its an excellent choice against other unscrupulous unis/bschools who take inexperience ppl for MBA. Cardiff is definitely not in the top bracket and you can go provided you dont have a better choice.
Hope this helps, buddy!

kensington college of business MBA is another one of these programs that award a Degree from the university of wales. it is one of many, many schools that do this, and i don't think it says good things about the program.
it looks to me like they are more interested in making money through selling their name.....
i am also not sure about the accreditation of these schools - didn't find anything on their site.
