mba vs msc

hey everyone

I really need nice advice.
I have done bsc hons in economics and have one year office administrative experience and looking for a mba in uk.
basically I hv seen mba in Coventry who is offering mba for freshers,
I have many post of people which say this is useless but in what context?

like I live in Saudi arab and what I feel they don't know much about the institute, they just see the country and course you have done.

and one more thing that is there is any demand for msc in management or international business or finance in the arab market or just they know about the MBA?

I am realy confuse about what should I do now?
msc from a best universities or mba fom Coventry university?

and one more important question is that Coventry MBA is much worthy than doing MBA from Pakistan??

Please reply me asap :)

thankyou in an advance

I don;'t think the Coventry MBA is useless, but it's worse than an MSc from a ranked, accredited business school.

The labour market in Saudi Arabia is rather complex. Multinational companies are skilled recruiters and, of course, they will know than an MSc from the LSE is better than an MBA from Coventry.

I can't think of any situation where Coventry would be a better choice.

So this means that there are some chances of getting job after doig mba from coventry or cardif universities?
Mba from such university is atleast better than doing mba from pakistani universities??? Please let me know about this?

And yes tell me one more thing that i graduated with the cgpa of 2.9/3.00, so in which best university i can get admission for msc?

Is there any scope of master in international business globally?

These programmes are aimed at students who want to return to their own country (I assume overwhelmingly from the subcontinent, since that's the only place where the MBA is a pre-experience degree), rather than those who work in the UK. I suggest you speak to those schools about the outcomes from non-EU students.

You'll need to do your own research on CGPA requirements, since most folk here focus on schools that use the GMAT.

I don't understand your last question.

Thankyou so much sir!

Just clear one thing that you mean that doing mba from coventry is better than doing mba from pakistan?

And what you think about the MSC finance and management of Cranfield University, is it a good ranked university?

And what is the scope of jobs after doing MSc program in whole middle-east?

Like what i see is just a lecturer job after doing MSc, i hope i would be wrong but this is what I feel, Please help!

I imagine that if you want to work in Pakistan then the best option is an MBA from LUMS, not Coventry.

The Cranfield MSc is great. See http://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolrankings/masters-in-finance-pre-experience-2013

Speak to the schools about placement outcomes.

Remember, the European MSc is a applied degree, unlike the American MS which is often a research degree. Lecturers in Europe tak PhDs, not MScs.

Thankyou for everything but if I dont get admission in lums because their requirements are too high then should I do mba from other universities in pakistan or should I go for coventry?
Because I belong to ksa and I am more curious about middle east market?

I think this really depends on your goals. If you want to study in the UK, then an MSc from a great university is better than an MBA from a university without international accreditation like Coventry.

I have nothing to add to my earlier answers. The better choice is an MSc from a great business school.

If your elder brother thinks that an MBA from a second-tier Pakistani university is better than an MSc from the London School of Economics, then perhaps he's right and you should be studying at SZABIST? You have to read the opinions made available to you, and evaluate their credibility.

PS That is a joke. Of course I do not think you should be at SZABIST if you can get into a better school.

I can't anticipate which schools will or will not accept you for their MSc programmes but, from first principles, it's obvious that if you can get into the Coventry MBA that you can get into an MSc at a better school. The better school will be better for the vast majority of students, other things being equal.
