Hi,

Can anyone advice me which colleges in UK i've the best shot of getting admitted???
GMAT - 640
3.5 yrs work exp
4 years 1st degree

Wud like to start from apr onwards next year

you can probably get admitted to a few MBA programs with your GMAT and Work ex(although a higher GMAT could help you get even better ones) - if you want to try and asses your chances at the different schools, you should use the information published by ranking bodies. if you look in the economist rankings, and click to see the full report, you will also find the average GMAT score of students in a given school.

I think you have a shot at Warwick, Cranfield, Lancester.

Just try to aim at those schools...

If you like Marketing, go to cranfield, (downside, pressure too high, you cannot enjoy your MBA experience)
If you like Finance, go to Lancester, (if you want to find Finance jobs in London, you'll be competing with LBS, Oxford, Cambridge and Cass MBA... Tough competitors.)
If you like Management Consultant/IT, go to Warwick. (downside, Warwick courses are too academic)

3.5 yrs of work ex is actually less for most of the top tier b schools in UK. the avg work ex of the Warwick MBA class of 2009-2010 is 7 years and the avg GMAT score is 660.
Scenario in most of the top schools like Warwick, Cass, Asridge, Cranfield, Said, Judge, Manchester are like this only.

For LBS the criteria is much more higher.

Lancaster, Tanaka, Henley, Durham, Bath, Edinburgh and Strathclyde might not be that demanding, but then it depends a lot on your profile - not just academics and work ex, rather awards, certifications and extra-curricular.

My advice will be that first write good SOP/Essays (on your own of course!), get credible references then speculate. By the time you r finished with interviews you can have a fair amount of certainty regarding your adimission.

look at there statistics - warwicks average GMAT score is 610 but the 7 years of work ex and 1 from 4 applicants gets a place:

at Cranfield is a bit more competitive with average score of 660 and 8 years of WE. also 1 form 4 gets in

Lancester seems to be very popular, which means fierce compatition on places(12:1) but the avarge GMAT and WE are lower.(650 and 5)

now, you should take thous statistic in mind, and combine it with the ranking of the different schools - this should give you a pretty good idea about your chances.

i think you have good chances, you will have to write good essays and do well in interviews to get admitted, but this is always true!

I think you can get into most of the UK Business Schools with this profile.
MBA has been the monopoly of US B-Schools! Very few UK Business Schools are known in World, except - Oxbridge, LSE, Manchester & Cranfield to certain extent!

I would say yes, definitely - it is one of the best ranked schools in the UK - Ranked highly by the FT. It all depends on what are you trying to achieve.... for example, if you are looking for mobility in your career later on, it is supposed to be very good.
