Ladies & Gents
Does anyone have any suitable suggestions as to MBA courses I should be looking at?
I am serving police officer in a managerial role and looking at further promotion in the future. I have a 2:2 in politics and would like to complete a general management MBA via distance learning / part time.
I have looked at some of the "MPA" courses, but would prefer to do a general MBA instead. I am somewhat struggling at the moment as most require a 2:1.
Any thoughts / suggestions gratefull received.

Hi Ollie,
Where are you based and how much do you have for an MBA course.
Ben.

Hi Ollie,
You find the list of Online MBAs in UK here:
http://www.find-mba.com/search
For instance the eMBA of Aberdeen Business School sounds good, costs are only slightly above your limit £11,098:

I can't really relate to your grades because I don't know your system, but probably you can leave Tanaka or Strahclyde aside, but there many more.
Some also offer flexible payment schemes, have a look at the websites.
Besides, you should have a look at the Part time options, in your region you can find quite a few.
But go for an MBA, I hope you find a program where you fulfill the admission requirements, it is a good decision for your career!

I agree. Unfortunately, most of the big London one's will want a 2:1 and will be pretty expensive. However, with your work experience you might be able to make a good case as to why they should overlook the fact you've got a 2:2. Have you any particular schools in mind? The other thing is that as well as doing a part time MBA you could consider distance learning. A lot of very reputable schools now offer online MBAs, which are just as valid as their non-online counterparts. Just be careful to avoid degree mills - Rayat London College springs to mind - which charge significantly less and don't have the same entrance requirements, but are really just a means to scam gullible students.

Thanks for the reply.
I think I would prefer to do a course at a uni near me so that I was able to pop in (if doing the distance learning) and use the library etc. Obviously if doing it part time then again I would want somewhere nearby.
