Hello everyone.
I have received offers from Liverpool and Loughborough MBA and am wondering which one I should go for.
The two have very similar rankings and similar tuition fees.
I am not that concerned about the visibility of the university as I plan to return to Asia after graduation. This means that I have no intention of spending even more time and aiming for Cambridge, for example.
So what I am interested in is the local reputation and how easy it is to live there.
In general, which is the better MBA programme?

If you're going to spend a year in an MBA, you should get into the best school you can: the quality of the cohort and the experience improves massively. Durham and Lancaster, for example, are only a little harder to get into but are massively higher quality.
If those were the only two options, I would pick Loughborough: students are famously happy there; it's a real campus experience; much better weather; a far safer town; close to London and their London campus might add some value too.

I have friends undertaking full masters programmes in Loughborough (not MBAs) and really enjoy the social set up. The sports scene is excellent (bar recent controversy when they tried to close the gymnastics facilities - it was stopped by a grass roots student campaign)
