LBS / Oxford Saïd

Seeking advice: London Business School (LBS) or Oxford Saïd for a finance-focused MBA? Background in investment banking, aiming for private equity or asset management. Interested in insights on finance curriculum, alumni networks, and recruitment opportunities. Any info on scholarships appreciated. Thanks!

Obviously the LBS curriculum wins hands down because it's so much more extensive: twice as much finance in the core and then enough electives in finance that you can essentially add on the remaining curriculum of the masters in finance. Also, LBS MBAs also get access to the Global EMBA, Sloan, MiF and PhD courses (for example, I took a Columbia GEMBA elective on macroeconomics with a Nobel prize winner). As a much older and larger school, LBS also wins on alumni networks and recruiter relationships for post-MBA roles (i.e. Oxford Uni has the undergraduate milk round, but for MBA-type roles LBS is stronger).
