Cardiff MBA

Does doing the Cardiff MBA add any value? is Cardiff MBA better then Heriot-Watt MBA? There is a lot of negative word of mouth about Cardiff MBA and am not sure if it is the way to go. please advice.

if you are not an indian i don't suggest you to study there. Over 3/4 MBA students are indians, I was so surprising when I sitting in the lecture room on the first day. I wonder I am studying in India rather than Wales.

The intake in Cardiff is about 40% Indian & 20% EU. The course has improved a lot in the last couple of years.

for the fees they are charging i would not recommend Cardiff MBA as at little extra you can get through an FT ranked B-School (if you have enough work exp) and if not then i would suggest MSc from an FT ranked school rather than MBA from Cardiff

I can only tell you that I am so regret to study MBA in Cardiff and wasting for a whole year. I better use the money wisely in my home country (HK) or study in the local university. The programme is completely useless for me and I don't think it is helpful to anyone who do business as well. I finished the degree in 2009 and there were still over 70% of the students are Indians, however over 50% of them were forced to quit because they failed in 4 or above subjects out of 6 in the first semester. I wonder how they can successfully get the offers from Cardiff as they don't really meet the standard. Some of them even don't either have a degree or any working experience. That's crazy right? But it's real.

Hi I would suggest MSc in Finance and Accounting will have good prospects (coupling with a certification course such as ACCA , CIMA, CFA, CPA etc)

MBA without Work Exp in UK has no value. Its better to opt for MSc instead.

No. An MBA from a bad school does not have a value no matter where you go.

---> MBA without work experience = worthless.

---> Good B-Schools require work experience for MBA.
