Here is the most ineffective university I everseen in my life.
I am currently Brunel University student, expect to be graduate soon, and have applied for the London Graduate School of management, near Oxford street for doctoral in business administration since last 2 months, and I got unconditional accepted and inform to make a payment, which I did so straight away. After the university received the payment, they refused to issue me a Visa letter, which led me to the refusal of visa letter. Moreover, they refused to refund the tuition fees as they agreed to do so if the visa is refused.
Now it has been nearly two months, I called university everyday since then, and I still waiting for the money.
Regarding the issue, the university, which is a small university located near Oxford street, failed to manage such a small issue that risk their reputation like this, how could they provide the effective education for people. The people studying here risk a chance of low standard education and it may close down anytime if they keep do this to people.
From my experience, I just want everyone to be aware of this university, it could be the wrong choice for you.
It would be great if anyone know what I should do now, please tell me what should I do with this next. Thanks
Beware of this University

Hello mate,
So sorry to hear your story. If it was true, then the university was not doing a good job at all, whatever the issue, you can not dodge, but have to face it and resolve it. That is management.
I understand that Brunel is a proper university and i am so suprised to hear that.
I hope you can share with us a bit about your case and make it clearer to all of us. We here at Find-MBA are students and support students for the good causes.
May I suggest that you send the URL/webaddress of the post to Brunel and tell them to send a representative to the forum and have an open conversation about this issue.
You also can post this onto other forums and i am sure there are others that are relevant and read by many international students who think of Brunel as a possible choice.
Regards,

Hi,
Well, I am not an expert on this but If I were you I would have done the following.
1. Retain all the fee receipts and make multiple photocopies of it.
2. Go to the nearest British Council office (Education UK), inform them and ask an advisor regarding which authority to register complain with.
3. Go to the Indian Embassy at UK and get a written complain against the University and submit the same to UK Border Agency.
4. Seek advisory help from a registered advocate to serve notice to the University via a court order (if required)
5. Register a complain with London Metropolitan Police against the University VC (if required)
6. Take help of a media like BBC/The Guardian etc. (if required)
7. Network and spread the word around...go to TSR and Facebook which have a very very strong presence in UK
8. Ask help/advice from the NUS, its a very powerful body and since you are a member of it (I hope you have joined the Brunel U Students' Union) will protect you in every possible way against the London Graduate School of management.
Just a rough idea...plz consult with a well informed person capable with dealing this matter.
Don't be weak, stand up for your rights...I know its traumatic for you but don't let anyone enjoy your money.

I just looked at the university's web page and it seems a bit dodgy. On what grounds did they refuse your visa? Did you pay the full tuition fee of 7500 pounds or just the application fee of 225?
I'm not sure about the U.K.'s immigration policy, but I would imagine that if you did get accepted and paid the full tuition rather than just the application fee, you could take your acceptance letter and all associated documents to your embassy and see if they could help you.

as Ralph mentioned that site is dodgy. Simply it's not professional looking and a crap piece of work done within 3-4 days time.
If I were you I'm not gonna apply for this uni.
I'm also really sorry about your situation.
If you are in UK please make a complain to police and if you were outside UK go to British Counsil and see what they can do about this.

Thank you very much for every advise here. I did report to the British accredited council (BAC) that actually accredit the university. The answer that I got from them was they are not accrediting the london graduate school of management. The BAC only accredit the Millenium City Academy, which is language school part of the London Graduate school of Management. The BAC informed me that they will have to investigate on the issue that they use the BAC's logo for the part of London graduate school of Management as well. Moreover, the BAC also stated that the reason my Visa has been refused should be that they dont actually have a sponsorship number at all!!!, which mean that they are not eligible to accept any international students and they are accepting tons of them!! I am just wondering why the ministry of education in UK still let this kind of university operating without any investigations!!
Anyway, After I got the reply from BAC I forward the e-mail to The uni and say I am going to take a further actions to them, I finally got my tuition fees back in the next morning after few months of waiting, flying back to Thailand for Visa and come back with no extension granted!!!! Well, at least I finally got my money back.
The situation shows that they know exactly what they are doing is right or wrong, but they are still doing it and there should be someone can take action towards this uni.

Glad to hear you got your money back - amazing, but i think that with the rise of popularity that the MBA branch experiences, we would probably see more of these stories. you did well - the main thing is never giving people a chance to get away with such things. i would also spend a bit of time and post/blog your story in a few places on the net - this would maybe help people thinking to apply there, and in turn, would maybe make this fishy school correct its ways.

Guys i have seen all the posts about lgsm but unfortunately i am facing some serious problem here..here is some details.
I got admission in LGSM in EMBA programme and paid 5000 pounds in advance out of 6000, my proper classes are not yet started, college is offering the degree of some other country's institution, I am so worried these days as I suppose myself as a genuine student, I really regret to take admission in that institution, now i want to switch my college, One of the consultant in my country suggested that institution, which I was shocked to see when i went there for registration, in reality it is just a two rooms college. Please guide me if there is any possibility that I switch my college with the transfer of fee paid. The ranking showed that it is an A-rated college I don't know how they ranked it. Kindly I need a suggestion; I really can't afford to loose my time and money studying in that dodgy college..
