Best MBA for business?

Rod777

Hi,
I'm 35 years business owner with 10 years experience in running different businesses & start ups.
I've a degree in Economy.
Now looking for MBA degree (part time) to summarize & improve all my knowledge in the field of business, entrepreneurship, project management,e-commerce,digital marketing. I've no interest in a new career or a job as an employee in the nearest future - I'm still happy to run my business..))
Tied on budget- £10-15K available for the course (excl leaving expenses)- I do not know if I'll qualify for any scholarships at all. I reside in the UK for 5 years - EU citizen.
So what is the best course for me?
I've looked through 100's of tops & reviews: the best one in the tops are unachievable due to high fees, those in my "range" of money are not the best in reviews ...So I'm really frustrated..((

Thank you for your help!

Most people take an MBA in order to increase their income, and that's why the MBA is more expensive: not just because of the value, but because - unlike a purely academic programme - it needs to transform people's team skills, leadership abilities and cross-cultural effectiveness. If you want the core academic content of an MBA without the personal development stuff, then take an MSc at a top school: look at the Ashridge MSc perhaps. On a cheap MBA you'll get similar content but worse education.

On the other hand, if you do want to get the sort of personal development that will transform your earning potential, then do invest in the best MBA you can. It will help you make bigger dreams come true.

An online MBA might be an option as well, if you're not looking for a lot of career services support.

Durham is less than 20k GBP. I think Warwick is a bit less.

I'd say spend more to go on a good MBA. Also, I'd judge them by their general content rather than their entrepreneurship modules, since you'll probably learn the most in the areas least connected to your career to date.

Agreed. If I were you I'd do whatever I could to bump my budget up to FT rankings level: Imperial, Oxford, Cambridge, Cass, Warwick... Even Lancaster... All would provide a much better return on investment than something that costs less.
