10 yrs_Work Ex_Now MBA


Hi,

I am a design engineer with 10 years of experience in semiconductor industry. Looking fwd. to do 1 year MBA from Europe. Please help me decide:
- What is the best way to approach my decision/value of MBA after 10 years of experience
- What does my future look like:
a) do MBA leverage current experience
b) switch industry - is it possible afterdoing MBA??

My main reason for MBA - growth, deciion making job, big picture, broaden my scope....

I think you must be some where around 32+....Its a major decision in your career since you are an Indian.....Perhaps if you are an european or from different continent....is not a big decision....becoz of living style...
BTW....few points...
1.If you plan to switch your career...for ex from Design engr to Fin.analyst....your 10 years of exp will not be considered...back to entry level but with good pay...
2.Will suggest you to focus on top B-schools like LBS,Oxbridge etc to minimize your risk....But again it costs you plenty of efforts starting from GMAT etc...

If everything goes well than naturally growth opportunities are ample....you will get a good start.....no doubt on it....
