Willing to pursue MBA

rkds81

Hi,
My name is Ritu. I am new to this forum. I am from India and live in UK now. I have my Bachelor's and Masters' degree in Aerospace engineering. I have nearly 7 years of work experience with NAL in India. My work in India was experimental as well as managing the project. But it was not all about fully management. I quit my job and settled in UK last year for my personal reasons.
Now I want to start my career all again. I wish to pursue MBA and if possible preferably with technical Project Management.
Main reason I feel is that MBA might help me for shifting to a more generalized field.
But I really need suggestions on a few things
from experts -
1. If doing MBA is a good decision. .
2. The Universities which I have near to my place are-Chester University and Liverpool University. Also Glyndwr Uni ( hardly known to anyone)
3. Bermingham University and Manchester Uni are also in options but it will require lot of traveling and cost which I might not be able to afford.
Kindly advice me on this if its a right choice to do MBA/ which MBA/ or from where?
Thanks in Advance
Kind Regards
Ritu

I think you want to study project management, not general management. Is that right? In Britain that is an MSc, not an MBA. Where do you want to work?

Hi,
First I want to thank you for the reply. I am not working anywhere at present. I worked previously with National Aerospace Laboratories in India. But whenever I apply anywhere in UK, I get response for management related jobs. I really want to shift my career now. I will appreciate if you can suggest me more on doing MSc or MBA. In case I take MSc and move to different country (US, Canada or India), will it be recognized. Earlier the better, but I am not able to decide anything without any experts' advise.
Kind Regards
Ritu

I think you need to focus on your goals, and then work out the route there later.
