Hi guys,
I was fortunate to be admitted to the NUS MBA and invited to interview to Cambridge Judge. I strongly believe that I will be admitted to the Cambridge MBA.
Now the question is which school I should go to?
A little information about me. I am a CFA charterholder with 8 years of working experience in the asset management industry. My post-MBA plan is to work for a prominent asset management company in Asia before establishing my own private wealth management company in Vietnam. I really hope that an MBA program can equip me with advanced expertise, global perspective and corporate governance.
Frankly, the curriculum of the NUS MBA is more attractive to me as its specializations such as Value Investing in Asia and Applied Portfolio Management are more relevant to me. Moreover, the NUS MBA is 17 months with a summer internship which means that I may learn more things.
On the other hand, the Cambridge MBA reputation is higher in Asia. The duration is shorter which means that I can come back to my family sooner ( I have a 3-year-old son).
It is quite a tough decision for me and I really need your support.
Thanks and best regards,
Nam Chu

NUS is the better choice. No AM firms in the Far East go to hire in at Judge.

Thank Stuart for your swift response. How difficult to get a job in asset management in Singapore with MBA from Cambridge Judge? I just want to evaluate all possible scenarios before making such an important decision.
Thanks and best regards,
Nam

There are no Judge MBAs doing AM in Singapore. I think it's difficult. I don't understand how you think the job search works for full-time MBAs.

Does the Judge MBA really have a high reputation in Singapore? Or do you mean that Cambridge is a prestigious university? Prestige doesn't get people hired.
