Hi guys,
Can you please suggest best Msc in Project Management program from the following list:
1. University of Limerick, Ireland
2. Robert Gordon University, Scotland
Both these universities are accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Accreditation Center (GAC) for Postgraduate Project Management Education Programs which is the gold standard for project management programs across the world.
Robert Gordon also has the mandatory 7-8 weeks placement for Project Management students.
Univ of Limerick Msc Project management program ranks 12th in Eduniversal list.
As per my research both options are too good to choose from.

I have almost 5 years of total experience in Information Technology and Management side. I would also like to stay and work post studies if there is a possibility. Ireland offers 1 year post study work visa, so i am leaning more towards Univ of Limerick. I also heard IT related job market is very good in Ireland.

I studied intensively for 10-15 days, and cleared my PMP. I believe getting that certificate is not difficult.
If you already have experience in project management then getting a PMP by yourself is easy, cheap and can be done in 10-15 consecutive dedicated days.
If you don't have experience working in projects or as a project manager, you won't meet the eligibility criteria for PMP. It's unlikely a company will hire an inexperienced PM based on MSc alone. Better course of action can be getting the PMP yourself and save 1-2 years of time, tuition fees, living expenses and opportunity costs.
P.S - I am not sure about "Gold Standard" US prefers PMI certifications e.g PMP, PgMP etc. UK (and presumably EU) prefers Prince 2. In India, these certifications are yet to catch up.

Hi Ayon,
Thanks for your quick reply. I started as Oracle developer and then moved into business analysis role, now i am more into project co ordinate role. So yes i do have experience working in projects (3 years) but not exactly as project manager, which is why i want to do Msc in Project Management. I am also a certified Business Analyst.
So after finishing a Project management masters and with my experience i can easily get into project management field. That is my idea. Is it any good , suggestions please ?
PS i dont have enough experience to appear for PMP

My initial idea was to do MBA and dwell deep into project management/business analysis field, but again MBA is generic unlike specialised course like Msc in Project Management. I Checked module content for both MBA and Ms in Project Management and found later to be the best if i want to make it big in Project Management field.
