Hi All,

Greetings from India. I have got admission from Kedge Business School, Marseille Campus, France for MSc International Business Program for Sept. 2016 intake. Well, some of my friends are suggesting me to also apply Intl MBA program at IESEG School of Management as I have 3.2 years of work experience in Sales Domain with Health Care Company. I am very confused to choose among these two. I am giving IELTS exam and GMAT in May 2016. Kindly guide me and share the facts comparing these two B-Schools in terms of Quality and Job Prospects. In addition, I enrolled in French Classes till A2 Level.

These are similar schools. Why did Kedge not admit you to its MBA? You work prospects hinge more your language skills than on your choice of school.

Well, I inquired about the difference of the program with the alumni and current students at KEDGE. They said people with work exp also do prefer MSc Intl Business at Kedge and are successful post studies. However, as I am MBA-maniac, I am thinking of the name "MBA Degree." Kedge Indian Alumni were settled with 100% Jobs elsewhere in EU like Paris, Luxemburg, Belgium etc., and Current students (over email chat) says internship portals at Kedge helps students to land with offers. I didn't get any alumni or focus at Kedge MBA course ( with KUBS), hence i didn't apply. Recently, one guy told me look at the IESEG programs too. Hence, the confusion started !!

There are 2 Indian students at Kedge, Marseille Campus. they says the student life and campus are very attractive. There is separate portal for Kedge students (exclusive for only Kedge Students) along with other Internship resources. When I had Skype interview with Program Director, she says there is little help from Kedge in securing Internship?Jobs whereas, the Indian students say they got internship in Marseille and Paris. With this, I zeroed in on MSc course at Kedge as a whole and ignored applying other B schools in France.

Kedge is a good school and its rankings accurately show where it is. With your work experience, I can't see any advantage to taking an MSc rather than an MBA. Kedge has an MBA. Did you not apply to it? Surely the MBA has better outcomes?

The experience of two people is a very small data set. If you were a manager, would you eliminate all the other options on the basis of two data points when any others are available?

Yes, your opinion seems to alright. I am in an executive role and not a people manager. I will check with KEDGE and IESEG if i can enrol in MBA program. The info from 2- 4 indian alumni is perhaps a less source, however they all have 3-4 years of Work Experience in Automobile and Info Tech!!!

Anyhow, i need your directions to choose one from the two schools.

PS Oh! KEDGE closed its full-time MBA. That's why they didn't offer a place on it.

No Sir. The program is MSc International Business. Not Europe to Asia type.
