IIM A vs B vs C

Hello,

I am looking at the top 3 schools in India, namely Indian Institute of Managements at Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Kolkatta (Calcutta) for 1 year MBA for experienced professionals.

All 3 schools are accredited, are well ranked, similar companies visit the campus, class profiles are similar. Question is ...how to choose between these 3? Generally the criteria are Location, Language, Accreditation, Fee, Class construction, Companies visiting for hiring, rankings etc.
In this case almost everything is similar. There can be an argument that Bangalore is better for IT industry but then placements from other schools are similar in IT industry as well.

Thanks.

Ahmedabad is certainly better respected outside India and the city is generally more highly rated for quality of life. If you have specific career goals, try this : How to use LinkedIn to find the best school www.find-mba.com/board/33571

Are you also considering ISB, which has a fairly strong international profile? Looks like it's also good for IT placements:

Thank you Duncan. IIM A is certainly higher ranked. Regarding city, the IIM A grads also have to find work outside the city as the jobs are mostly in Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai or Delhi area.

Hi Laurie,

ISB class profile is different and is a lot younger than the class of 1 year MBA at IIMs. IIMs have a class of 60-70 while ISB has a class of 770. Also average experience is a lot different.

And inside India, IIMs hold better reputation than ISB.
