Gmat score 580, which US colleges should i apply to?

Airme9

Hi All,

I have a Gmat score of 580.

I have 7 years of work experience in the IT indistry as a software developer.
My GPA is 3.5
I have done good in extracurricular activities as well as a leader and team player.

What would be my chances of getting into a good mba college i the US ?

And which colleges would accept a profile and score such as mine?

It depends on what you mean by "good mba college." Most ranked programs will recruit students with an average score of at least 650.
But the overall number doesn't tell the whole story. What's your breakdown between verbal / quant look like? A balanced 580 will look much better than a 580 where the quant  score is much higher than the verbal.
Also, if you come from an over-represented applicant group (such as tech professionals from India), the competition will be higher, meaning you'll probably want to have a GMAT score higher than the average.
