So, it's basically a list of schools that are not getting enough applications from overseas students?
Posted Nov 04, 2011 13:15
yes...or maybe some schools want to save some money :-)
I suppose that for some small schools (with annual intakes of 30-50ppl) is very expensive to take part to fairs.
By the way the selection is quite poor..

Thanks, Elizabeth. Just curious - what are the technology requirements for this online fair? Can one watch the seminar with an iPad?
Posted Nov 08, 2011 20:07
The fair requires Flash so unfortunately it can't be accessed via iPad, however we are looking into changing this for 2012 to accommodate our visitors.

Hello,
next time write the time-zone... you indicate that (for example) Skolkovo is online from 6.00 to 9.00 ...... but in which time zone?
At this time.. nobody is online... I think something is not working

Has anybody participated in this online fair or others like it? I wonder if it's worth it - at least compared to an traditional fair where you'd be able to connect and network in-person.

Hi,
it's a little a mess but it can be usefull to meet schools that you normally don't find in general loca fairs (in my case euro*mba).
Then you ll find several us schools (included the Jesuit mba....:-)

Hi!
So, what was your impressions and feedback on TheEconomist Fair? Was it useful or so?
It is interesting to get a point of view from the other side's participants, and we can provide another one from the exhibitor's one ;)
Aa special call up for those whom we've been meeting online :)

I came across the same fair while doing my never ending research for my MBA online. I too registered for the event, I mean, hey, whats to lose by knowing about whats available in the market right ?
In their defense they do have the Australian Graduate School of Management ( Rated top 50 Globally by FT for their MBA) on their list which is one of my schools of choice. Apart from that I do not recognize any of them, sorry.
I have noticed a few of my priority schools, cant remember them by name right now, but they do conduct online information sessions something what this online event seems to be like. I figure it is a good way to attract international talent who can not reach out to the schools directly.
My 2 bits, hope it helps, somehow !
