Hi Vibora,
I am 31 and am looking for 1 yr MBA programs. I will be 32 when the MBA starts next year.
It depends on where you want to be based in the end?! If you are 10+3, I am guessing you are from Asia or Europe.
In Europe the best schools are:
INSEAD
IE
OXFORD
CAMBRIDGE
LBS
IMD
all of the above are top brand names in europe that will accept the 10+3 experience...
then you also have Cranfield, Imperial, Cass. Not as well known as the above list but also very good schools.
In Asia you have some good schools that will accept you too.
It all depends on what you want to do after an MBA, where you want to be based, which program (after you have researched yourself) you feel appeals to you the most, which programs have the type of recruiters you are looking for, how much can you afford financially, what your GMAT score is....etc.etc....

thanks for ur response. yes im from India thats why 10+2+3. I was looking at LBS and Oxford to be honest. However, the US programs do interest me as well.
If i need to be eligible for a US course, can you suggest what course/program i need to do to be eligible (16 yrs of education) for a course there.
Also i am yet to take GMAT. Any tips on that would also help.
Thx.

Hi,
I also feel that you should research the European schools. You have a background in Hospitality Management. I don't know what you intend to do after your MBA - would you like to continue in your field of work or would you want to shift your career path. Keep that in mind which selecting a program.
Switzerland has some nice schools which offer programs in your filed of work.
Being and MBA myself, I know that selecting the correct program is probably the most important factors careerwise.... just my 2 pence and feel free to contact me if you would want to discuss GMAT
Cheers

Hello, IT consulting is one of the hottest fields to get into in Europe. You have a fair amount of work experience and hence the choice of B-Schools should be guided mainly by your GMAT score. Of course there are the LBSs, IMDs, INSEADs in Europe which are some of the best places to study. But consider the schools like Rotterdam Business School, Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester etc. They also offer some excellent courses.
Regarding GMAT prep, I relied on self-study since that suited me the most. I took 3 months to prepare, 2-3 hrs everyday and I had consulted The Princeton Review and Kaplan in addition to the official GMAC materials and that worked out fine (I got a 710).
Hope that helps
Cheers

Thanks again efeedz for ur response. i went to pricenton academy today and took a diagnostic test. got a score of 440 (slightly disappointed though). i most probably will enrol with them to get some help in my preparation. ur score of 710 is outstanding. lets see..i am gonna start preparing soon. do u think mar'10 deadline (last one for most schools in EU) is realistic for me to target.? thanks..ur inputs r really valuable.

Hi Vibarora,
I just signed up this morning for the Knewton online GMAT study program. I like to think of myself as a pretty bright person, well when I went to take the diagnostic test I could not even finish. I really had no idea what some of the questions were asking. It is a good thing that you took a diagnostic and realize that you may benefit from some serious prepping.
I am not a self study out of a book person and have been very successful with online classes especially interactive ones. Check out www.knewton.com then google reviews. I forget where I read some thorough reviews this morning before I bought the program.
I wish I could add to the discussion on which school to attend but I have no clue as I am sticking to the schools is my region (Philadelphia has a great selection).
